| Wait, wait, do not scream! I know, I read the reviews, most people loved this movie, liked this movie or at least did not dislike it. After having watched it, I thought I did not like it too much, but I left it at that. But something kept bothering me and I kept thinking about “Juno”. What is wrong with this film? In one of my favourite films “Tootsie”, there is a scene when Jeff (played by Bill Murray), the playwright/waiter, says “I do not want you to come to me right after the show and say “Vow, Jeff, I get it! I want you to come to me the next day and say “Bill, what happened?”" What I am talking about is pretty much self-explanatory. Some films are too easy and too boring. Most people have noticed that in “Juno” something had happened. Something that was not expected. To me, the dialogue is the main character and the characters and the story are merely a backdrop for dialogue. It felt artificial. Characters are hardly believable – most of them. Juno experiments and she calls the shots. She gets a guy, she gets pregnant, she decides what to do with IT. She is not a teenager, but a meticulous scientist and she experimenting on the viewers. She is testing just how far can she push and how far can she go. Children do it all the time. I also remember the famous character Raskolnikov from “Crime and Punishment”, who was trying to figure out, whether he could do it. How about Vanessa, the future adoptive mother? She feels that she destined to be a mother. Well, that is a blessing. Yet, all I see that she needs a new toy, just for herself. People who have a calling are usually unstoppable. She would have been surrounded by children if she loved them. In conclusion, watch this film! And think about it. I believe it deserves the attention it gets. Whatever you get from this film, it is all yours! | |

I’d be frank – this movie was a bit too much for me to handle. I did not find it particularly funny or excessively witty.
What I found funny is that some countries (Ukrain for example) did not allow the showcase of this movie – this is the funniest thing about this movie for me.
