By the way, talking about literacy. You know what my name means? Literally? Svet-lana ==> Svet means light in Russian, also the world.

We say the white world. The funny thing is that my mother wanted to name me after either of my grandmothers: NINA or Anastassia (Greek. Means Resurrection)My father did not consult my mom, he just told everyone that he has a daughter Svetlana and my mom did not have the guts to rename me. You see? Sometimes it is all about the guts, sometimes it is all about speed. Of LIGHT!

My mother use to say a triangle was a square missing a piece. She use to call me a triangle. I told her once that a triangle is the strongest geometric shape. I learnt that at school. She stopped calling me a triangle, she just called me stupid.

You know how my mother tortured me? She called me a sophist. I was only 7. My logic was always my strength.

So, I assume Kallinik means the same thing.

What’s really odd, however, is that PokerFace means “ugly loser” in Swedish (pokeransikte).

Kallipugos is a Greek word that means “beautifully shaped buttocks.”

Nike is the maker of running shoes and other fine products.

So, I assume Kallipuginike means “beautifully ass-shaped running shoe.”

So it was so easy, PokerFace, was it not? Thank you. Also, calla lilies are from the same Greek word kallos. So, beautiful flowers. Are they not? That is why I picked one as a picture representation.

But the reason my school friends nicknamed me Kallini was much simpler: my maiden name was Kalinichenko. But I grew so used to Kallini, I don’t really wanna change. Besides it suits me perfectly now. Yes, I am beautiful in my own mind and I fight until I win, big time. I have been through Boot Camp, believe me. And it is not so much about fighting and winning, it is about justice.

An I intend to go from Ivanova (my husband’s name) back to Kalinichenko. Why? Because after 16 years of following rules and doing everything that others think is right for me, I realized nobody and nothing can really stop me from being myself. They can try. Be my guest.

I will reveal (oh, no! she is going at it again!) my inspiration!
